Position Overview
Triangle Ready Mix specializes in top-quality ready mixed concrete. Whether your concrete project is large or small, we have you covered. Our facility uses state-of-the-art technology with advanced concrete blending located in Morrisville, NC with fifty plus employees. We pride ourselves on efficiency and consistency of our product.
Our firm is looking for an individual that is a Rockstar with a can-do attitude to join our fast-paced team. This position is considered a full-time position M-F starting from 8:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. under the leadership of the General Manager. This individual is responsible for seeking new business and expanding our presence across the commercial construction industry. This person must be a go-getter and understand the rigorous nature of our construction business. They must strengthen existing relationships and drive revenue growth through strategic sales efforts. The expected travel is 75% to meet clients, address any concerns, and follow up on new business leads. The other 25% is reporting to the office for weekly meetings.
Job Description
- Maintain a safe workspace, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
- Manage customer complaints and coordinate resolutions with production & quality control.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts.
- Understanding of batching plants, logistics, and quality control in concrete production.
- Candid communication with upper management about job and anything related to the job i.e., scheduling, job requirements, employees, subs, equipment, etc. as well as coordinating weekly look ahead.
- Addresses key areas of supplier cost, safety, risk, reliability, continuous improvement, technology adoption, supplier innovation and service.
- Contributes to business turnarounds and capital projects planning through effective sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and execution.
- Fostering positive relationships with team members, subcontractors, and clients. Practice empathy, diplomacy, and networking while contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- Gather and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers using various sources, including industry directories, trade shows, online platforms, and market research.
- Mandatory Monday meetings on site for business review.
- Participates in daily plan meeting through TEAMS.
- Ability to manage the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including pattern analysis, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
- Analyze quotes to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement.
- Be the first on-site when quality issues arise to follow up on next steps. First point of contact.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch, operations, and quality control teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications
- 10+years in commercial ready-mix concrete sales.
- Experience selling to construction, contractor, or industrial customers preferred.
- Proficiency in generating estimates (Microsoft Office 365)
- Strong QC and concrete production knowledge.
- Superior verbal & written communication skills.
- Excellent Soft Skills.
- Intermittent math skills for basic data entry & interpretation.
- Contract Negotiations
- Valid NC Driver’s License
Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Occasionally lift 5-10 lbs.
- Requires prolonged sitting.
- Ability to work in different types of climates conditions throughout the year.
